I LOVE NBA - Blender 3d Project

A series of 3d based graphics created in 2021 featuring selected NBA teams. The project used various team branding imagery: jersey elements, logos, colors & season look combined into an original heart shaped concept. The images were originally posted on my IG account, along with the mobile wallpapers.
The 3d model was created from scratch in Blender 3d software, based on some heart model sketches.
MIAMI HEAT
First design of the series. Inspired by the Heat branding look for the season. The jersey elements were recreated from scratch to obtain the HQ images needed for 3d texturing.
The design was used for an experimental animation of the beating heart that was used as IG story teaser for the series.
CHICAGO BULLS
The Chicago Bulls classic look along with the Michael Jordan related elements were the base of the second design.
BROOKLYN NETS
Another piece was created with the use of Nets' jersey from that season with hand drawn texture of the jersey pattern made from scratch. The subway map of the New York was incorporated into the look.
MILWAUKEE BUCKS
Another piece was created for the Bucks who were the NBA Champions at the time. The design of their Championship Ring was incorporated into the graphic by adding the line art based on its look, gold elements and the Championship ribbon. The lettering was based on the Bucks' jersey from the season.
LOS ANGELES LAKERS
The Lakers look was created by heavy texturing the heart model, adding the modified 3d version of the team's logo and mamba snake model.
PHOENIX SUNS
The last design in the series highlighted the Phoenix Suns and was inspired by their "The Valley" jersey for the season with a cartoon look.The flames from the team's full logo were used as a base for modified flames in the 3d render. The 3d model was rendered in both Evee and Cycles to achieve the sunlight glow for the heart.
